Okay, so let's go ahead and get right to it and check out some of the best. Okay, so one of the first wineries I would visit if I were you is Becker Vineyards, located in Fredricksburg, which is actually one of the oldest wineries in all of Texas. Now, it's not just about their award winning wines, but also the gorgeous lavender fields that bloom there. Just imagine sipping on a glass of wine surrounded by the scent of lavender. Sounds a little heavenly, right? Next on the list we have Grape Creek Vineyards, also located in Fredricksburg. Now, this place truly feels like a slice of Italy with their Tuscan style villa and tasting rooms, you get to enjoy fine wines and an extraordinary setting. It's a wine lover's dream come true. Now let's go ahead and head over to Driftwood Estate Winery. Over in Driftwood. So the gorgeous views here at the Driftwood Estates Winery are absolutely stunning, with the hill Country landscape stretching out before you. Their outdoor patio is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy their selection of wines. Okay, so now we have the Portnow Cellars in Stone wall, Texas. Up next. What's special about this place is their commitment to sustainable wine making, and their deck offers a panoramic view that you won't easily forget. Last, but certainly not least, is William Kris Vineyards in High Texas, in between Johnson City and Fredericksburg. So this winery here in high Texas focuses on small batch artisan style wines. Okay, so one of the first places I want us to stop by today is enchanted Rock Natural Area, just north of Fredericksburg. So this place is truly surreal with its massive pink granite dome, and it's really not just a rock, it's a whole experience. You can either hike to the top for an epic view, try out rock climbing, or even camp under the stars and hey, if you're lucky, you might even catch some awesome wildlife action. But wait, there is more! Have you ever been inside a massive cave before? The natural bridge cavern? And are they something special? You can go deep underground to explore these massive limestone caverns, and it feels like stepping into a whole nother world. They've got these absolutely incredible formations and the tours are just mind blowing. It's cool. Literally a nice break from the Texas heat. And for something just a little bit different, check out The Cave Without a Name in Burney, Texas. It's as mysterious as it sounds. It's got these stunning stalagmite and stalagmite formations, and they even host concerts in the cave. Can you just imagine listening to some Texas country in a underground chamber? Sounds absolutely wild. So really, the whole country's natural parks and caves are like hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. And I'm telling you, they're worth every moment. All right, folks, was go ahead and talk about some water and discuss our next topic, which is water activities around lakes and rivers. So if you're into splashing or just chilling in the water, the Texas Hill country is your kind of Paradise. Let's go ahead and dive into Lake Travis first. This isn't just any lake. It's a hot spot for all sorts of water fun. You've got boating where you can cruise around or kick it up a notch with some water skiing. Now, for those of you who are hanging around Fredericksburg or Kerrville, let me tell you about the serene Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in Fredericksburg. It's the perfect family picnic by the water or some leisurely fishing. And then there's the Schreiner Park in Kerrville, located on the banks of the Guadalupe River. It's great for canoeing, fishing, or just soaking in the natural beauty. The river's gentle flow here is just right for a peaceful day out. And after you're all fresh up from the water, it's time to hit the trails. Or vice versa however you want to do it. But this brings us to our next topic, which is the hiking and biking. So the Texas Hill Country is a hikers and bikers dream with its breathtaking landscapes. Let's go ahead and start with the famous Wheel City Loop, especially glorious and spring with wildflowers painting the countryside. It's near Fredericksburg and offers an unforgettable biking and driving experience. And if you're sticking around Fredericksburg, just go ahead and check out Cross Mountain Trail. It's not too tough, and the view from the top is totally worth the climb. And of course, do not forget about enchanted Rock, which we discussed earlier. Located just north of Fredericksburg, now heading south of Fredericksburg and towards Kerrville, you have to check out the Kerrville Shriner Park. The trails here, meander through the beautiful hills and along the river, perfect for a peaceful hike or bike ride. It's a great way to soak in the natural beauty of the hill country. And another option for you walkers or hikers is the Lyndon B Johnson State Park, known for its history and also the natural beauty. Just a short drive from Fredericksburg, these scenic trails and historical landmarks make it a very doable treat. But wait, once again, there's more. Over in the heart of the Hill Country, you can't miss the Lost Maples State Natural Area. It's famous for its stunning fall foliage. It offers trails that are a feast for the eyes, especially in autumn. And then you have the rugged beauty of the hill country state. Natural Area near Bandera, Texas. It's a hill country favorite for both mountain bikers and hikers, with over 40 miles of trails ranging from serene to challenging. And then, if you're near Austin, the Bratton Creek Greenbelt is a must. With over 12 miles of trails, it's a haven for both casual walkers and adrenaline seeking mountain biker. The trails take you through lush forests, past limestone cliffs and even to hidden swimming holes. As we mentioned earlier, with over 50 wineries between Fredericksburg and Johnson City alone, there is a endless amount of spots you can go visit while you're here, but Fredericksburg isn't the only gem around here. Let's go ahead and take a quick jaunt over to Burney, Texas. This quaint little German town, with its historical buildings and charming Main Street, offers an array of boutique shopping, artisanal goods and cozy cafes. The Cibolo Nature Center here is also a great spot to relax and connect with nature. And then there's Kerrville, which is nestled along the Guadalupe River. It's known for its vibrant art scenes. Be sure to check out the Kerr Arts and Cultural Center and the Museum of Western Art. And then the Riverside Nature Center is another peaceful spot for a leisurely walk. Now let's go ahead and venture a bit further and talk about Wimberley. Each course here has its own unique challenges and stunning hill country views. But the golfing greatness doesn't stop there at Omni. Let's go ahead and head over to Boot Ranch in Fredericksburg. This course is a masterpiece designed by PGA tour legend Hall Sutton. It's known for its rolling hills, deep bunkers and pristine conditions. Plus, the views are absolutely breathtaking and then there's the Loch and Terra Resort in San Antonio offers two amazing courses the Resort Course and the Palmer Course.
